Why is my card not available to select for use with my card-reader?
Only cards with the correct type of security chip can be used with your card‑reader. Your Online banking screen will automatically display any cards that are suitable. You cannot amend this list yourself, but any re‑issued cards that meet the security requirements will appear there when available.
What you can do without a suitable card
You can still make payments to anyone you have already set up as an online payee.
However, to create a new payment arrangement, you must:
- use one of the cards listed as compatible, or
- order a replacement card that can be used with your card‑reader.
