I haven't received an activation code for my mobile banking app, what should I do?

If you haven't received a text message with the activation code, please complete the following:

  • Turn your phone off and switch it back on, then check your text messages to see if you have received an SMS from us with your activation code
  • Check your signal and Wi-Fi strength
  • Check the mobile number you've used is listed on Online Banking under ‘Your details’

If you’ve just updated your mobile number with us, you’ll need to wait 3 full days before you can request an activation code.

Our mobile app is available in the following countries:

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE and the United States

We send mobile app activation codes to these countries but can't guarantee that you’ll always be able to receive them. If you move to a country where our app is not available and your mobile number changes then you might not be able to register for the app again.

In the meantime, you can continue to use our Online Banking service.
