How do I make a payment or transfer using the mobile app?

To make a payment or transfer using the mobile app please use one of the following options:

 

Make a payment

  • Tap 'Payments' on the bottom of the home screen
  • Check that the account displayed is the account which you want to make the payment from
  • Tap on the payee you would like to pay or tap ‘Pay someone new’
  • If paying someone new, follow the onscreen instruction to verify the payee
  • Enter a reference, choose the amount and payment date
  • Tap 'Review payment'
  • Complete the transfer by tapping 'Make payment'

To ensure your money is safe, we will sometimes ask you to authorise a payment.

  • If you have registered for face biometrics, we will ask you to use this and you will be able to authorise a new payment up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Business customers. Mobile payment limits apply

If you haven’t registered for face biometrics you can

  • Use Face ID/Touch ID on iOS, fingerprint on Android or your app passcode up to the mobile app daily limit

 

Make a payment using a favourite payee

  • Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen
  • Make sure the account displayed is set to the account that you want to make the payment from. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'
  • If you want to pay a favourite payee then tap on them from your 'Favourite payees' list on the 'Payments' home page and tap ‘Send money’
  • Follow the onscreen instructions

 

Transferring money between accounts

For current and savings accounts:

  • Tap 'Payments' on the bottom of the home screen
  • Check the payment is being taken from the account which you want to make the transfer from
  • Select ‘Transfer money’
  • Choose which account you would like to transfer to, amount and payment reference (optional)
  • Under 'Payment options', pick a payment date
  • Tap 'Review transfer'
  • Complete the transfer by tapping 'Make transfer'

 

For Cash Management account:

  • On the home screen, choose your Cash Management account
  • Tap ' Make a transfer'
  • Choose the currency line to use
  • Select which account you would like to transfer to
  • Enter an amount to transfer
  • Tap 'Continue'
  • Complete the transfer by tapping 'Make transfer'
