What is an unpaid transaction fee?

An Unpaid Transaction Fee will be charged if you instruct a payment that would create an unarranged overdraft and we decide not to make the payment.

Unpaid Transaction Fee: £2.15 (1 fee per charging period)

This fee is applied to your account 21 days after the end of the charging period in which we decide not to make the payment (or the next business day if this is a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday). The charging period normally ends on the date that we issue your statement to you.

For further information please see our current account rates and fees.
