Before you raise a dispute
Before we get involved, there are things you can do that could save you time, and might get things sorted sooner.
- Give the retailer a chance to put things right - Retailers can often fix things quicker than we can, so give them at least 14 days to sort it out. We can't help until you’ve tried.
- Check the payment isn’t pending - Check your account to make sure the money has been withdrawn. We can’t raise a dispute while a payment is pending.
- Check when you made the payment - Visa and Mastercard set the dispute rules. If the payment was made within the last 120 days, we’ll be able to look into it for you.
