We might ask you to provide proof of ID, address and/or income.
For confirmation of identity we can accept any of the following documents which must have your signature and photograph:
- Current signed passport
- Driving licence issued by the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, UK, Gibraltar, an EU member state, USA or Canada
- National identity card (this excludes cards issued by the United Kingdom)
For confirmation of address we can accept any one of the following documents which must include your full name (or all initials and surname):
- Utility bill less than 6 months old (electricity, water, gas, landline telephone or rates bills). Only acceptable where Isle of Man Bank has a presence.
- Bank Building Society, Credit Card or Mortgage statement or bank correspondence (must be less than 6 months old)
- Driving licence issued by the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, UK, Gibraltar, an EU member state, USA or Canada provided this has not already been used for confirmation of identity purposes

Unfortunately we cannot accept statements from our branch or mobile telephone bills.
Confirmation of address must relate to your residential address and contain your full name or initials and surname. If your confirmation document shows a PO Box address, please ensure it also evidences the residential service address being provided.
If you are returning your documents in the post, instead of taking them to one of our branches, your documents will need to be certified. The application pack you recieve in the post will detail certification requirements.
