Manage your business account

To get an international payment, provide the sender with these details:

• Your full name and address
• Our bank name and address
• Your International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
• Our Bank Identifier Code (BIC), which identifies our bank and branch

You can find your IBAN and BIC on your bank statements, through online banking, or in our mobile app.

On your bank account statement

• You'll find your IBAN and BIC in the top-right corner of the statement, just below your sort code and account number.

Using our mobile app

• Log in to our mobile app.
• Tap on the account you wish to view.
• Select 'Account settings'.
• Tap 'View or share account details' to see your IBAN and BIC.

Using online banking

• Log in to online banking.
• Select 'View account details' for the account you need.
• Your IBAN and BIC codes will be displayed.

Payment limits set the maximum amount you can pay across all services each working day. You can adjust these limits to help protect yourself from fraud and scams, according to your needs.

You can easily change your payment limits using our mobile app or online banking. The daily maximum for business customers is £50,000.

We recommend setting your limits to balance security and convenience.

How do I manage my payment limits?

Unfortunately, we can't accept the following types of cheques:

• Non-Sterling cheques.
• International or domestic drafts.
• Traveller's cheques.
• Sterling cheques from banks or building societies outside the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or Gibraltar.

You'll need to contact the company or organisation you want to pay and they will be able to set up the Direct Debit for you.

To arrange a new Direct Debit, you will need to sign a Direct Debit mandate which is provided to you by the organisation you wish to pay and return it back to them. The organisation will then set up the Direct Debit mandate with us.

The information you'll need to provide to set up a Direct Debit will include:

• Your name and address
• The name and address of your bank
• Your bank account number
• Your sort code
• The name(s) on the bank account

New Direct Debits will only show on our mobile app or Online banking once the first payment has been taken from your account. After the first payment has been taken it will display on your statement, and you will be able to view it along with your other Direct Debits.

You can cancel a direct debit online until 8pm (UK time) on the day the payment is scheduled to be taken from your account.

Before cancelling, it's best to inform the payee that you plan to do so.

Using your mobile app

• Log in to your mobile app.
• Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen.
• Make sure the account displayed is the one used for the standing order. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'.
• Tap ‘Regular payments’.
• Select 'Direct Debits'.
• From the Active list, select the Direct Debit to see more details.
• To cancel the Direct Debit, select 'Cancel Direct Debit'.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Using online banking

• Log in to online banking.
• In the main menu, select 'Payments & transfers'.
• From the 'Direct Debits' section, select 'Manage Direct Debits'.
• From the Active list, select the Direct Debit to see more details.
• To cancel the Direct Debit, select 'Cancel the Direct Debit'.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

A standing order is when you instruct us to pay a set amount to someone from your account at regular intervals. The money will be taken from your account on a specific date each time, and you’ll see it on your bank statement.

Using your mobile app

• Log in to your mobile app.
• Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen.
• Make sure the account displayed is the one used for the standing order. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'.
• Tap ‘Regular payments’.
• Select ‘Standing Orders’.
• Choose 'Create Standing Order'.
• Tap 'Choose payee or account'
• Choose an existing payee, account or 'Pay someone new'
• Complete the following details and press 'Next'
  • Payee reference
  • Amount
  • Frequency
  • First payment date
  • Payment Duration
• Review the payment details and tap 'Confirm standing order''

Using online banking

• Log in to online banking
• In the main menu, select 'Payments & transfers'.
• Click on the 'Standing orders' tab.
• Select one of the following options:
  • Create a standing order to a new payee.
  • Create a standing order to a saved payee.
  • Create a standing order to your own account.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

We require at least 3 working days notice to amend your standing order online.

For example: If a payment is due to leave your account on a Friday, the final opportunity to amend the standing order using online banking is by close of business on Tuesday.

Using your mobile app

• Log in to your mobile app.
• Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen.
• Make sure the account displayed is the one used for the standing order. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'.
• Tap ‘Regular payments’.
• Select ‘Standing Orders’.
• Tap on the standing order you wish to amend.
• Choose ‘Edit'.
• Amend the standing order details and tap 'Next'.
• Review and confirm the amended details.

Using online banking

• Log in to online banking
• In the main menu, select 'Payments & transfers'.
• Click on the 'Standing orders' tab.
• Choose the account where the standing order is set up.
• Click on 'Manage standing orders'.
• Find and select the standing order you want to amend.
• Click 'Amend standing order'.
• Amend the standing order details and choose 'Next'.
• Review and confirm the amended details.

Alternatively, you can cancel the standing order, which will stop the payment, until 6pm the working day before the payment is due. After that, you can create a new standing order with the updated details.

You might need your card-reader to set up the new standing order.

To cancel a standing order online or on your mobile app you will need to give us 2 working days notice.

For example: If a payment is due to leave your account on a Friday, the final opportunity to cancel the standing order is by close of business on Wednesday.

Using your mobile app

• Log in to your mobile app.
• Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen.
• Make sure the account displayed is the one used for the standing order. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'.
• Tap ‘Regular payments’.
• Select ‘Standing Orders’.
• Tap on the standing order you wish to cancel.
• Choose ‘Cancel Standing order'.
• Confirm your choice by clicking 'Yes, cancel standing order'.

You'll receive a notification confirming that the standing order has been cancelled.

Using online banking

• Log in to online banking
• In the main menu, select 'Payments & transfers'.
• Click on the 'Standing orders' tab.
• Choose the account where the standing order is set up.
• Click on 'Manage standing orders'.
• Find and select the standing order you want to cancel.
• Click 'Cancel standing order'.
• Confirm your choice by clicking 'Cancel standing order' again.

You'll receive a notification confirming that the standing order has been cancelled.
