Telephone banking

Overview

Our Telephone Banking team are available to support you with your everyday banking needs.

Lines are open Monday to Tuesday 9am - 5pm, Wednesday 10am - 5pm and Thursday to Friday 9am - 5pm (except public holidays). Calls may be recorded.

Register for Telephone banking

  • If you’re already registered for online banking, you’re automatically registered for Telephone banking too.
  • If you haven't yet opened an account with us, you will get the option to sign up for online banking and Telephone banking when opening a new account.
  • If you are an existing customer the quickest and easiest way to get set up for Telephone banking is to register online for online banking. Registering for online banking gives you access to both online and Telephone banking.

Other ways to contact us

Registered customers can use the 'Message Us' feature in our mobile app or the ‘Need help?’ online chat service within online banking.

How to use Telephone banking

It's easy to use Telephone banking to check your balance, make transfers and payments.

You’ll only be able to use Telephone banking after you have registered for the service. You will need your Customer Number, PIN and Password, and the service may be limited if you haven’t ordered and enabled a card reader.

Emergency cash

If your debit card is lost or stolen, you can still access your cash using Telephone banking.

  1. 01

    Call Telephone banking and follow the options to speak to a customer adviser.

  2. 02

    The adviser will cancel your card, and then ask you some  security questions.

  3. 03

    If you are registered for Online banking or Telephone banking, the adviser may be able to generate an Emergency cash code for you. This will allow you to withdraw your cash from an ATM if required.

  4. 04

    You can access up to £300 if you are an Online or Telephone banking customer or up to £40 if you're not. You’ll need to have a minimum of £20 in your account to use this service.

  5. 05

    The adviser will give you a six digit code that you can enter at any NatWest International, NatWest, RBS, Isle of Man Bank, Ulster Bank or Tesco Bank ATMs. The code must be used within 3 hours.
