We understand that this is a challenging time for many local businesses and as a result, we want to reassure you that we are working closely with local government to ensure that you can continue to operate during this difficult time.

Through the Disruption Guarantee Scheme our existing business banking customers will be given an opportunity to apply for a loan to assist in maintaining business continuity.

What to expect from a business support loan

An arrangement fee and product fee may apply.  A security fee may apply (depending on borrowing amount).

Flexible borrowing amount

You could borrow an amount between £5,000 and £500,000.

A range of repayment terms

Spread the cost over a term up to 6 years.

Payment break options

You may be eligible to apply for a repayment holiday, either at the start or throughout the loan term.

How do I apply for the Disruption Guarantee Scheme?

Step 1: Register your interest

You can register your interest today by completing our online application form which takes around 10 minutes. You can start by completing the questions below, on this page.

Step 2: Provide supporting information

A member of our team will call you to discuss your request and gather further information to support your application. They’ll also explain what documentation is required and help clarify any questions you may have.

Step 3: Application is submitted

When we’ve received all the required information and documents, our support team will collate your application and send it to our credit teams for approval. You can expect to receive confirmation if your application has been successful within 5 working days.

Where is your business based?

Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar or elsewhere.

Has your business received more than £100,000 of Government support in the last two fiscal years?

Unfortunately the Disruption Guarantee Scheme is only available for businesses that haven't received more than £100,000 of Government support in the last two fiscal years.

Checking you're eligible

In order to be eligible for the Disruption Guarantee Scheme, please confirm the following:

  • You are requesting this lending as a result of the impact of COVID-19 to your business
  • Your turnover has either already reduced materially as a result of coronavirus or you anticipate a material reduction over the next 3-6 months as a result of coronavirus
  • You require a borrowing amount between £5,000 and £500,000
  • You have not applied for or received a COVID-19 business interruption loan, by whatever name called, operated in the United Kingdom, any other Crown Dependency, or Gibraltar
  • You do not require a borrowing term greater than 6 years
  • You do not intend to use this additional funding to consolidate or refinance existing credit facilities
  • If your business is based in Guernsey or Isle of Man, your firm's turnover is not greater than £10m, based on your most recent year end accounts.
  • If your business is based in Gibraltar you must be considered a small and medium sized enterprise defined by the European Commission as having less than 250 persons employed and an annual turnover of up to EUR 50 million or a Balance Sheet total of no more than EUR 43 million.

Please also confirm that your business does not operate in any of the following sectors:

Guernsey:

  • Financial & Professional Services, Property Development, Real Estate, Public Sector, Utilities, Agriculture, Fishing, Architecture and related Real Estate Advisory.

Isle of Man:

  • Financial & Insurance activities (as regulated by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority), business regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, Real Estate (with the exception of Estate Agents, property management companies and Construction firms), Property Development, Public Sector, Utilities, Agriculture and Fishing. 

Gibraltar:

  • Supermarkets, Banking industry, Property Development, Undertakings whose income is at least 75% funded by HM Government of Gibraltar and e-Money institutions.

There are no excluded sectors in Jersey.

If we receive notice from local Government of a restriction, change or withdrawal to or of the Scheme, before your application is complete and any offer of funding made, we may not be able to proceed with your request.
