Earn more by giving notice on withdrawals

A Notice Deposit helps you plan ahead, manage your liquidity, and make more of cash you don’t need for day-to-day use.

You simply choose a notice period that fits how your business runs.

  • Choose your notice period – 35, 60 or 90 days
  • Multiple currencies – available in GBP, EUR and USD
  • Minimum deposit of £25,000 – or €25,000 / $25,000

If you don’t need immediate access to your funds, a Notice Deposit offers a balance of return and planned liquidity access.

What is the interest rate?

Can NatWest International change the interest rate?

Yes, the rate is variable. We can change rates for any of the reasons set out in the non-personal terms, such as responding to a change in the Bank of England’s base rate.

  • If rates are going down, we’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice.
  • If rates are going up, we’ll tell you before the change or at the earliest opportunity afterwards.

For more details, please read section 10.3 of the non-personal terms.

What would the estimated balance be after 12 months?

Can I withdraw money?

Yes, you just need to give us the minimum notice for your account: 35, 60 or 90 days.

Once you let us know you want to make a withdrawal, we’ll move that amount into a Fixed Term Deposit for the length of your notice period.

Two types of interest rates can apply during the notice period:

  • Primary Notice Rate
This is the standard rate for the notice period you’re on — 35, 60 or 90 days.

  • Step Down Rate
This is the 35‑day Primary Notice Rate minus 0.20%.

How these rates are applied depends on the notice period:

  • 35‑day notice
The Step Down Rate applies for the full 35 days.

  • 60‑day notice
The Primary Notice Rate applies for the first 25 days, then the Step Down Rate for the remaining 35 days.

  • 90‑day notice
The Primary Notice Rate applies for the first 55 days, then the Step Down Rate for the remaining 35 days.

When the notice period ends, we’ll pay the balance and any interest into your Business Cash Management account.

Early withdrawals are not permitted.

Additional information

Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) shows the interest rate if interest is paid and compounded once each year. AER helps you to compare the rates of interest on different accounts.

Gross means the interest rate you are paid on your savings with no compounding.

p.a. stands for 'per annum' (per year).

Primary Notice Rate is the standard rate for the notice period you’re on — 35, 60 or 90 days.

Step Down Rate is the 35‑day Primary Notice Rate minus 0.20%.
