To have a Foundation account you must be 18+ and resident in Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man or Gibraltar.
The Foundation account can't be applied for directly. We may offer it to you if we think it might be more suitable after you’ve applied for one of our other accounts.
The Current Account Switch Service makes switching from one bank or building society to another simple and stress-free. You can choose a switch date to suit you, just make sure you allow a minimum of 7 working days.
The Current Account Switch Service is not available for accounts held in Gibraltar.

You can't apply online for a Foundation account. To find out if you're eligible you need to first apply for one of our other accounts, such as our Select account, which also has no monthly fee.
You'll need to show us some documents such as photo ID and address verification. Don't worry - we'll let you know exactly what we need when you apply.
An online application for one of our other current accounts will take around 15 minutes to complete. After this we'll post you an application pack that details what documents we need to open your account.
