Reasons to switch to online statements

  • Simple to use - it's easy to set up and use online statements.
  • Your choice - choose which accounts you'd like to change to online statements. You can go back to paper statements at any time.

If you're an existing Online Banking customer

Once you've registered for ibanking, we'll send you an activation code by post - it usually arrives within seven days. When you have the activation code, you're ready to start using the service.

It’s easy to switch to online statements:

  1. Log in to Online Banking
  2. Click on the 'Statements' link
  3. Select 'Start or stop receiving bank statements by post'

You will also need to provide a valid email address so we can send you alerts when your statement is ready to view online.

Sometimes, you need a paper statement – perhaps to prove your identity or your income.

It’s free to order up to three months of duplicate paper statements. And you can do this twice in any 12 month period for free.

How to order your free paper statements

You can order free paper statements online, by phone or at your nearest branch.

Visit us in person

We’ll send your statements to you in the post. They should arrive three to four working days after we receive your request.

Terms and Conditions

Opting to stop receiving paper statements by post:

I accept that you will provide me with information by email about my personal accounts as detailed above. I am confirming that I have told all other joint account holders that I am requesting that paper statements no longer be sent by post and that they are happy for me to make this request.

Important Information

If you choose to stop receiving bank statements by post:

  • this will take effect from your next or subsequent statement and from this point forward you will no longer receive bank statements or any pre-advices of interest and charges (which includes those which you have elected to receive in an alternative format such as Braille, large print or audio tape)
  • we will notify you by email when a statement and/or pre-advice of interest and charges is available for you to view online
  • we recommend that you regularly check your transactions online, for each of your accounts
  • we may notify you of changes to your account terms and conditions and other important information relating to your accounts electronically or by post.
  • you will be able to order a paper copy of a statement. Please note that there may be a charge for this service.
  • we will notify any additional parties to the account, by letter, that they will no longer receive paper statements. Please note for joint accounts paper bank statements will not be sent to any account holder.
